Light: Science & Applications is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal that covers both pure and applied research in optics and photonics. It is published by Springer Nature on behalf of the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics and the Chinese Optical Society.

Publishing formats include original articles and reviews in addition to editorials and research summaries.[1] The journal was established in 2012 and the editor-in-chief is Jianlin Cao.
