From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are over 200 species within the land snail genus Amphidromus.[1][2]

These species used to be divided into three subgenera:,[3] They are all accepted as an alternate representation

  • subgenus Amphidromus Albers, 1850
  • subgenus Goniodromus Bülow, 1905
  • subgenus Syndromus Pilsbry, 1900

Subgenus Amphidromus[]

subgenus Amphidromus Albers, 1850

Subgenus Syndromus[]

subgenus Pilsbry, 1900[17]

All species of the subgenus Syndromus are sinistral with two exceptions: amphidromine Amphidromus glaucolarynx and dextral Amphidromus kruehni.[18]

Subgenus Goniodromus[]

  • Fruhstorfer, 1905
    • Amphidromus buelowi malalakensis Parsons & Abbas, 2016[26]
