List of International League stadiums
This is a list of International League stadiums used during the league's existence from 1884 to 2020. The list includes stadiums from the Eastern League (1884), New York State League (1885), International Association (1888-1890), and Eastern Association (1891), each of which league officials consider part of its origins, and the Eastern League (1892-1911), which changed its name to the International League (IL) in 1912.[1]
There are 109 stadiums known to have been used by the league located among 62 municipalities. Of the stadiums with known opening dates, the oldest to have hosted IL games was Pynchon Park (1853), home of the Springfield Ponies/Maroons and Springfield Cubs; the newest was Truist Field (2014), home of the Charlotte Knights. The highest known seating capacity was 65,000 at Municipal Stadium, the Baltimore Orioles home, though it was actually designed for football. The highest capacity of a stadium designed for baseball was 23,500 at Maple Leaf Stadium, where the Toronto Maple Leafs played their home games. The stadium with the lowest known capacity was the Barnum Grounds in Bridgeport, Connecticut, home of the Bridgeport Giants, which seated only 800.
