List of NCAA Division II football programs
This is a list of the schools in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States and Canada that have football as a varsity sport. In the 2021 season, there are a total of 166 Division II football programs – four more than in 2020. Changes from 2020 are:
- Bluefield State College reinstated football.
- Edward Waters University began its transition from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), joining the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
- Emory and Henry College began its transition from Division III, joining the South Atlantic Conference in 2022, with the football team competing as an independent in 2021.
- Post University is transitioning its team from sprint football with a club/junior varsity/junior college/prep school schedule in 2021.
