Star Trek: Discovery is an American television series created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for the streaming service CBS All Access (later rebranded as Paramount+). Launched in 2017, it is the seventh Star Trek series and was the first since Star Trek: Enterprise concluded in 2005. It begins a decade before Star Trek: The Original Series and follows the crew of the USS Discovery.

As of January 7, 2021, 42 episodes of Star Trek: Discovery have been released, concluding the third season. A fourth season was officially ordered in October 2020 and is set to premiere on Paramount+ in 2021.

Season 4[]

Development on a fourth season had begun by January 2020[4] and CBS All Access officially announced the fourth season on October 16, 2020.[5] Pre-production on the season began on August 17,[6] and filming began on November 2, 2020. The filming was set to end on June 10, 2021, but due to Covid-19 got pushed back to August or September of 2021.[6][7][8] It is set to premiere on the rebranded streaming service Paramount+ in late 2021.[1]
