  1. ^ Certain award groups do not simply award one winner. They recognize several different recipients, have runners-up, and have third place. Since this is a specific recognition and is different from losing an award, runner-up mentions are considered wins in this award tally. For simplification and to avoid errors, each award in this list has been presumed to have had a prior nomination.

Avengers: Endgame is a 2019 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.[1] It is the direct sequel to Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).[2] The film was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.[3]

Avengers: Endgame premiered in Los Angeles on April 22, 2019,[4] and was theatrically released in the United States on April 26.[5] The film received praise for its direction, acting, musical score, action sequences, visual effects, and emotional weight, with critics lauding its culmination of the 22-film story.[6] It grossed $2.798 billion worldwide, surpassing Infinity War's entire theatrical run in just eleven days and breaking numerous box office records, including becoming the highest-grossing film of all time.[5][a] The review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 94% by critics.[6]

The film was nominated for one Academy Award, one Annie Award (which it won), one British Academy Film Award, three Critics' Choice Awards (winning two), one Grammy Award, one Hollywood Film Award (which it won), four MTV Movie & TV Awards (winning three), eleven Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (winning two), seven People's Choice Awards (winning three), two Satellite Awards, fourteen Saturn Awards (winning six), one Screen Actors Guild Award (which it won), and nine Teen Choice Awards (winning four).
