List of footballers with 100 or more Premier League goals

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alan Shearer was the first player to score 200 Premier League goals, and is the only player to score 100 goals for two clubs.

Since the Premier League's formation at the beginning of the 1992–93 season, a total of 32 players have scored 100 or more goals in the competition;[1] collectively, these players are collectively referred to as the Premier League 100 Club.[2][3] During the 1995–96 season, Alan Shearer became the first player to score 100 Premier League goals, and holds the record for the fewest games taken to reach the figure, doing so in 124 appearances. Additionally, he also holds the record for most goals scored in the Premier League with 260.[4] Harry Kane is the second-fastest to 100 goals, doing so in 141 games.[5] At 23 years and 133 days, Michael Owen is the youngest player to reach the 100 goal milestone.[6]

Didier Drogba was the first African player to join the list with two further Africans—Mohamed Salah in September 2021 and Sadio Mané in October 2021—becoming the 30th and 31st players respectively to reach the landmark.[7][8] In December 2021, Raheem Sterling became the most recent player to reach 100 goals.[9]

Five of the 32 players have accomplished the feat without scoring a penalty – Sadio Mané, Peter Crouch, Emile Heskey, Les Ferdinand, and Andy Cole.[10]

Sergio Agüero holds several Premier League goal scoring records. Notably, he has scored the most goals for a single Premier League club, and is the highest scoring foreign player in the league.

Ryan Giggs is the only player to have scored in each of the first 21 Premier League seasons.
Didier Drogba was the first African player to score 100 Premier League goals.
Michael Owen is the only player to score more than 100 Premier League goals and also win the Ballon d'Or.[11] He is also the youngest player to reach the 100 goal milestone, at the age of 23 years and 133 days.
