Live Footage is an American electro-acoustic, improvisational musical act It consists of electric cellist, Topu Lyo, and drummer/keyboardist, Mike Thies.

Lyo plays electric cello, incorporating the use of live loops and a handful of electronics with no pre-recorded samples. Thies plays drums and keyboards, often simultaneously.[1]

Live Footage has been described as one of the finest “surrealist soundtrack composers”[2][failed verification]in the making by scoring some of the most eclectic contemporary pieces in film, fashion, dance and in tune composing their own music.

Live Footage music has been used in commercials by Van Cleef & Arpels,[3] UNICEF[4] Rag and Bone, Rag & Bone,[5] VICE, It Gets Better,[6] and Iceberg.[7]
