Elizabeth Katz (born July 8, 1988) is an American cosplayer, actress, and model.

Early life[]

Katz was born on July 8th 1988 and raised in Randolph, New Jersey. She attributes her love of gaming to simply being how she was raised: "Growing up as a kid my father forced us to play table top games, miniature war-gaming... It was just something you did in my family".[3] She is "half-Jewish",[4][2] and also celebrates Hanukkah and Passover.[4][2]

Katz cosplayed throughout her teens as a hobby.[5] After a brief career in the adult film industry under the pseudonym Risi Simms,[6] Katz created a Facebook page under her real name and began posting her cosplay work. In 2014 Katz began playing video games live on Twitch.[7]

Cosplay career[]

Katz began cosplaying professionally after winning IGN’s Best Cosplay at WonderCon 2012.[8][9] In 2014 Katz began playing video games live on Twitch[7] and posting gaming videos on her Youtube channel.[10]

In 2013, Katz undertook a crowdfunding effort to fund a cosplay outfit, raising US$4,690 (equivalent to $5,211 in 2020), starting from her original goal of US$650 (equivalent to $722 in 2020).[11][12] This prompted a debate in some circles on the use of crowdfunding for cosplay.[13]

Playboy ranked Katz as the fifth sexiest cosplayer in 2014.[14] FHM ranked her as the fourth sexiest cosplayer in 2016.[15] Katz has since featured prominently at many cons and other events.[16]

Katz has appeared in a number of Sam Macaroni's works[citation needed] and had over 1,200,000 Instagram followers as of April 2020.[17]

Personal life[]

Katz has two children. A son, whom she had when she was 20,[18] and a daughter, born in late September 2020 whose father is YouTuber H2O Delirious.[19] On May 29, 2021, Katz revealed she is pregnant once again, with a due date expected to be on Christmas Day.[20]
