The Lone Star was made by the Lone Star Motor Truck and Tractor Association, San Antonio, Texas, from 1920 to 1922. It was available as a 4-30 or 6-40, both utilizing Lycoming power units. Both open and closed models were listed for sale. The cars were manufactured for Lone Star by Piedmont of Lynchburg, Virginia. Advertisements listed the 4-30 model for sale at $1545, about three times the cost of a Ford or Chevrolet of the same time period.[1]
