Luc Dhoore

Lucien Jozef Juliaan “Luc” Dhoore (4 December 1928 – 10 February 2021) was a Belgian politician. He was secretary of state and minister as a member of the political party Christian Social Party (CVP).[1]

From 1972 to 1973 he was Secretary of State for Regional Economy in the G. Eyskens V Government and the Leburton Government, from 1973 to 1976 State Secretary for Regional Economy, Spatial Planning and Housing in the Leburton Government, the Tindemans I Government and the Tindemans II Government, from 1976 to 1977 Minister of Social Security in the Government- Tindemans III, from 1977 to 1980 Minister of Health and the Environment in Government Tindemans IV, Government Vanden Boeynants II, Martens I Government and Government Martens II, from May to October 1980 Minister of Social Security in the Government-Martens III and from 1980 to 1981 Minister of Health and Social Security in Government-Martens IV and Government-M. Eyskens.[2]

Dhoore was born in Waarschoot. He was married and had five children. He died in Genk on 10 February 2021, aged 92.[3]
