Ludmila Vaňková (born 27 May 1927) is a Czech writer.[1] She is the author of the Lev a růžetetralogy[2] (English: The Lion and the Rose).[3] This consists of the novels Král železný, král zlatý (1977, reprinted 2002),[4]Zlá léta (1978, reprinted 2002),[5]Dědicové zlatého krále (1979, reprinted 2002)[6][7] and Žebrák se stříbrnou holí (1995,[8] reprinted 2002).[9][10] She is also the author of Mosty pres propasti casu (1976)[1] and Stříbrný jednorožec (1981).[11]
