The Lutheran Church is a church built in Ganja in 1885. It is currently used as a puppet theater.[1][2]

History[]

After the annexation to Russia of the modern Azerbaijan territory, immigrants from Germany began to arrive here. They founded several colonies in the region, and a certain amount lived in the provincial center (in 1893, 103 Germans lived in Elizavetpol). For the possibility of holding meetings in 1885, the community built a prayer building. The church was active until 1941.[3]

Description[]

The building was built of tuff. The total area is about 650 square meters. Inside, the building is divided into a central hall and a foyer.[4]
