MTV Splitsvilla is an Indian television dating reality show that airs on MTV India. Earlier hosted by Nikhil Chinapa, and now being hosted by Rannvijay Singh and Sunny Leone.

Summary[]

The show revolves around young boys and girls trying to secure a place in Splitsvilla, a villa, where they are detached from the real world. It is a hunt for love, where boys and girls compete in tasks to remain in the competition and mingle with their fellow contestants to find love. In the end, a girl and a boy are crowned the winners of Splitsvilla. There is jealousy, hatred, friendship, backstabbing, breakups and a lot of fights when the contestants compete. Each Season comes with a new concept.

From Season 1 to 8, There was a King and a Queen who were given the power to rule over the villa.

In Season 9, Where women were rule, there were two Queens and no Kings. The Queens were given the power to dump the warriors and princesses.

In Season 10, Ideal matches were given the power to rule over the villa and the formation of an ideal match lead to the dumping of a contestant. The ideal matches are announced by the Oracle, an entity which studies the influence of science over love. Ideal matches are pairs, each consisting of a girl and boy possessing much similar emotional and psychological characteristics. They are decided on the basis of their answers given in the audition. All the contestants may not have an ideal match in the villa.

In Season 11, The ideal match may also change due to changes in the dynamics of the villa and there was secret session with oracle few times.

In Season 12, There were the chosen ones who had powers. The first to become the ideal match will be the chosen ones. The chosen one on the formation of an ideal match had to compete with the ideal matches to save their title of Chosen One. The chosen ones had the power to save, eliminate or they were given some powers during the tasks.

In Season 13, Show was based on Greek mythology cupid's arrow there will be Golden villa and Silver villa. Two sides of Oracle, Gold side for Ideal match and Silver side to find Compatible matches And one secret villa called Wild Villa.

Splitsvilla 4 had four boys and thirteen girls. The first episode was aired on 3 December 2010. This season was hosted by VJ Nikhil Chinapa.

Finale: A roulette game based on luck was played between the three finalist pairs: Manish and Pooja, Sai and Tina, and Dushyant and Priya. The first round was won by Sai and Tina who went directly to the finals. The second round was between Manish Pooja and Dushyant Priya to determine who would join Sai Tina for the final round. The round was won by Dushyant Priya who joined Sai Tina in the final round. Dushyant Priya won the final round and were declared the winners of Splitsvilla 4.

Splitsvilla 5 began with nine girls and nine boys. Unlike the last two seasons, this season was set in Uttarakhand, India. The villa was located outside the Jim Corbett National Park. The season was hosted by Nikhil Chinapa. The finale aired on 24 June 2012. The final competition to win the title was between Vroon and Jasmine and Paras and Akanksha. Paras and Akanksha went on to win the title of Splitsvilla 5.[1][2]
