Mabvuku High School

Mabvuku High School, is a high school in the Mabvuku suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe.

The school is co-educational for all forms up to A Level students. It opened in 1975 and is one of three schools in Mabvuku offering A level. When Mabvuku High School introduced A level in 1988 they produced very good results with the top students being the late Gibson Makwamure, Samson Machi, the late Elijah Mayengehama and Boston Guti. The school Boasts of the best Ordinary Level and Advanced level results in Harare. Mabvuku High is well known for its high pass rate at 'A' Level and possesses the best teachers, Mr Maseswa, Mrs Neruwana. The current headmaster is Mr Mbirimi and deputy Mr S Marangwanda. The school also carries evening studies.

Mabvuku High School is one of the best schools in Harare, it caters for vocational and academics education. From its vocational department it has produced some of the best carpenters and metal workers. Mabvuku High School is also known for its A level dance and music group called the Vabvuwi named after the popular Methodist Church Vabvuwi musical group. in recent times it has had a successful yearly event dubbed the Arts Night, live band performances, marimba, dance and drama being the main highlights. The arts coordinator Mr Sibanda and the staff at large organise the day and students showcase their talents in non-academic fields. Mabvuku high has also produced sports persons Marshal Munetsi, who is currently in the French league.
