Biography[]

Mad Clip was born in New York on 25 May 1987. He came from a Greek American family, with his mother being from an immigrant family that has settled in the United States from the 1950s. From 1999 onwards, he divided his life between in Greece and America for many years, living in Paleo Faliro, the place of birth of his father.[2]

Rapper Taki Tsan helped Mad Clip to release the album Eimai Trelos at the age of 27. Shortly after he signed with Capital Music. He had been a member of Outkast Exellence O.E. since 2004 with Constantine The G and N.O.E., where he performed in English.[3]

He had lived in Greece permanently from 2016 until his death, where he became famous, despite his ambition to succeed abroad.[4] Mad Clip expressed his preference for luxury living with expensive cars and clothes, both privately and in his songs. He was one of the most popular singers of recent years, with many of his songs high on the charts. It has been reported that due to his work, Mad Clip has significantly contributed to the rise in popularity of trap music in Greece.[5] From 2017, he had been in a relationship with Areti, for whom he had written a song that bears her name, she was also a source of inspiration for him. The couple had broken up, a couple of months prior to his death.

He had won eight times platinum certification for his records in Greece, equivalent to 160,000 copies. He appeared first five times in the local charts compiled by IFPI Greece.

He had collaborated with Eleni Foureira, Josephine, and other well-known artists in the field of rap and trap.

Mad Clip died at the age of 34 on 2 September 2021, after a car accident in Vouliagmeni.[6]
