Madala Ravi (Birth name Madala Ravichand ) is an Indian actor & film producer. He is the son of Madala Ranga Rao who is a very popular revolutionary actor & film maker. Madala Ravi debuted in the film industry as a child actor in Erra Mallelu,[2] which earned him awards. He is known for his charitable works and his social welfare events.[3] He actively participates in politics. He is also a Doctor Gastroenterologist and known for his social services. He debuted as a hero in Nenu Saitham (movie).

Early life[]

Ravi studied at Kesari Higher Secondary School in Mylapore, Chennai. After appearing as a child artist in Erra Mallelu & Swarjyam.His song Nampally station kadi was very popular and considered among the best songs in Telugu film Industry. Ravi pursued higher education in medicine at Rostov State Medical University and continued to live there as a practicing gastroenterologist and managing director of a pharmaceutical company for 14 years.

Career[]

He returned to India in 2003[4] and started a film production company Bharat Productions in which he produced and acted in the lead role, film Nenu Saitham (movie)[5][6] directed by Dhavala Satyam. Later Ravi appeared in Maa Ilavelpu[7] and Veeragaadha. He came back to film industry with the well-received Broker 2.[8][9] and Panchamukhi,[10][11] Aloukika, Aaj Ka Inquilaab[12] and Naag Laxmi.

Personal life[]

In 2017, Ravi's father Madala Ranga Rao had a cardiac arrest,[13] after which he lived with his son.

In early 2018, Ravi lost his father to multiple organ failure[14] on 27 May 2018.

Politics[]

In his youth, he worked in AISF and SFI in India as a social activist. He worked as a secretary in the Department of Cultural Affairs in Russia. After returning to India he advanced his father's ideals. Ravi participated and lead many movements led by CPI and CPM.
