Magnetomechanical effects connect magnetic, mechanical and electric phenomena.

• Magnetostriction
• Inverse magnetostrictive effect
• Wiedemann effect
• Matteucci effect
• Guillemin effect

Magnetostriction is thermodynamically opposite to inverse magnetostriction effect. The same situation occurs for Wiedemann and Matteuci effects.
