Plot[]

Two men Vijay (Siddharth Suryanarayan) & Arjun (Sharwanand) are thick friends. Vijay, an ambitious civil service aspirant with corrupt plans, is an orphan and has a girlfriend named Mahalakshmi a.k.a Maha (Aditi Rao Hydari) who is a dance teacher. Vijay lives off both Arjun and Mahalakshmi. He frequently takes money from Maha and has food from Arjun's home. He isn't serious about the relationship with Maha. He always brushes her away when she comes with the topic of marriage. Arjun lives with his widowed mother who praises Vijay of being ambitious and hard-working despite being an orphan unlike Arjun. Arjun has an uncle Chunchu Mama (Jagapathi Babu) who is a fisherman. Unlike Vijay, Arjun plans to start a business from the money his father accumulated before his death.

Once when Arjun was on his way to a place, he sees a commotion. When he went to take a look at what was happening, it was a woman (Anu Emmanuel) and a man arguing on an accident. The woman hit the car with her scooter which caused the car's bumper to get loose. After some misunderstandings Arjun settles the matter by giving the man money for car repair on her behalf. It is revealed that the woman's name is Smitha, a law college student. After hanging out with each other, they fall in love.

One day, Vijay brings Arjun to a factory of illegal drugs. Vijay explains that the factory belonged to a smuggler named Dhanunjay (Ramachandra Raju). Dhanunjay was a big-shot smuggler who has a handicapped elder brother Gooni Babji (Rao Ramesh) who actually created the big empire. Seeing their smuggling activities, Arjun appreciates Vijay telling that before getting the SI selection itself he started the investigation against these smugglers. That is when Vijay reveals his real intention of joining the police force. All his life he wanted to be nothing but a powerful man with lots of money and he believed the easiest way was to be a police officer and join in these illegal activities. They both have a serious fight on this.

Once Vijay follows Dhanunjay and ends up in their godown & a fight breaks out between Vijay & Dhanunjay. Out of rage, Vijay brutally stabs Dhanunjay. A shocked Vijay goes to Arjun & Chunchu revealing what he did. Chunchu tells him the aftermaths of what he did & tells him to take everything and leave. Arjun tells him to leave for the railway station & says he will pick Maha and bring her to the railway station. After they reach, Vijay is nowhere to be found. Maha & Arjun desperately search for him but couldn't find them. When they were about to go to the next platform Maha finds Vijay coming out from the last bogey of the train. When they both tell him to stop and wait for Maha, he throws away his phone and goes away in that train leaving both Maha & Arjun. Maha returns home & gets beaten up by her father for going away. Later it is revealed that Maha is pregnant with Vijay's child. Arjun brings her to his home & both he and his mother look after her. Arjun, clueless about what to do with Dhanunjay's murder, Chunchu advises and forces him to be a smuggler in order to escape Babji's wrath. With much hesitation & realizing that there is no way out, he becomes a smuggler & takes up Vijay's mistake. Meanwhile, Maha gives birth to a girl & names her Pooja.

Four years pass, Arjun becomes the leading smuggler with Chunchu mama as his right hand. Maha & Pooja live with Arjun and his mother. Maha scolds Pooja whenever she asks about her father (Vijay), to know more about him. Maha Starts to develop feelings for Arjun. She even tells Arjun's name to the teacher when the teacher when asked father's name on Pooja's first day at school.

Once Arjun goes to the court for his case against Babji and the moment he takes out his gun, he meets Smitha, now a single & successful lawyer & they start to hang out. Arjun brings Smitha home to introduce her to his mom. Seeing Smitha Maha gets disappointed thinking she wants to marry him. One day, Smitha comes to his home and sees Maha twirling with Arjun's shirt on. She understands that Maha is in love with Arjun. Smitha tells Arjun to marry Maha for the sake of Maha & Pooja's happiness & well-being. Shocked, Arjun didn't know what to say.

After a few days, Vijay comes back and goes to see Maha. He finds her at a mall & sees her from afar. He finds her with Pooja, Arjun & his mother. When he sees Arjun, Pooja & Maha together he believes Arjun married Maha & Pooja was their daughter. He goes to Babji and finds out that Danunjay hasn't died but does not handle their business like before. Babji manupilates Vijay's mind about his friendship with Arjun. Vijay finds out Arjun's location and goes to meet him. Sensing someone is coming from behind, Arjun pulls out his gun and points at the man appearing from behind who turned out to be Vijay, who simultaneously pulled out his gun. Vijay asks him about his family (Maha & Pooja) to which Arjun says he doesn't need to explain that to him and asks him about the only thing he wanted to know. Why he left Maha on that railway station that day to which Vijay replies he never loved Maha truly, so he left her. Vijay warns Chunchu & Arjun that a bad time is approaching them and it was he himself. Joining forces with Babji he starts a war with Arjun. He kidnaps Pooja & Chunchu, there Chunchu reveals to Vijay that Pooja was not Arjun's daughter but Vijay's, Arjun became a smuggler because of Chunchu & he took responsibility of Vijay's mistakes over the years. Heartbroken from hearing the truth, he frees Chunchu and hugs Pooja. He asks Pooja what her mother's name was, she says Maha's name & he asks her father's name she says she doesn't know anything about him as Maha scolds her if she asked anything about him. Vijay tells her she knows her father's name & says Arjun's name. Vijay calls Arjun and tells him that he wants to meet him, not as an enemy but as his old best friend and he will handover Pooja to him. Arjun agrees to it and on the way Arjun meets with an accident caused by Babji's truck and loses consciousness, on the other side Babji's man shoots VIjay while travelling with Vijay and Pooja. Babji arrives at the spot & shoots Vijay getting to know that Arjun and Vijay are coming back together. Babji orders his henchman to take away Pooja with them. Arjun regains his consciousness and he finds Vijay dead and cries over his death hugging him. He finds out about Pooja's kidnap and goes to Babji's factory and rescues Pooja from Babji. After the rescue he avenges Vijay's death and fulfills his death with Chunchu mama's help.

Arjun, Maha & Pooja are found on a beach having a good time. Realizing Maha is the one he wants to live with his entire lifetime, he proposes to her for marriage to which she accepts wholeheartedly & they live together happily ever after.

In 2019, Ajay Bhupati confirmed the film with Bellamkonda Sreenivas in the lead.[11] However, in early 2020, the bilingual film starring Sharwanand and Siddharth is announced. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni were also considered for the lead roles, but it did not materialize.[12]

In October 2020, Aditi Rao Hydari and Anu Emmanuel were cast in the film.[13][14] Chaitan Bharadwaj who previously composed music for the films such as RX 100 (2018) and SR Kalyanamandapam (2021), was signed for film's soundtrack. After Jabardasth (2013), Siddharth made a straight comeback to Telugu cinema after 8 years.[15][16] The film was originially intended to be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages.[17][18] However, the Tamil version was subsequently dropped in favor of a dubbed release.[19]

The principal photography of the film began on 7 December 2020[20] and wrapped up on 9 July 2021.[21][22]
