Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Sadopur (MMU Sadopur) is a private university[1] at Sadopur, Ambala district, near the city of Ambala, in the state of Haryana, India. It was established by the Maharishi Markandeshwar University under the provisions of the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006, and legislated under Haryana Govt. Act No. 29 of 2010.

Academics[]

The university offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study.

Accreditation[]

Like all universities in India, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[2] It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)[3] and the Council of Architecture (COA).[4]

Campus[]

In the campus there is an Punjab National Bank branch, a Bharat Petroleum petrol outlet and an auditorium with seating capacity of about 200 and 250 persons respectively.

NSS[]

The NSS Unit at MM University, Sadopur has evolved to include the participation of all stakeholders: students, faculty and the local community.Students and faculty at the University have actively participated in various programmes of social responsibility like blood donation camps, tree plantation, cloth donation camps, swachhtaabhiyan, nukkadnataks, women empowerment activities, earth day celebrations etc. Besides this, some extension activities organized by students of various departments includes:

Helping Hand Welfare Society[]

It is a welfare society through which the needy children of the local community get free guidance for their school studies. Further, all constituents of the University are made aware of its Social Responsibility. In addition, the monetary and materialistic contribution of every individual helps children of under-privileged section of community to get enrolled themselves in local schools.
