Makhdoom Shahabuddin (Urdu: مخدوم شہاب الدین), is a Pakistani journalist, columnist and activist.[2][3] He has worked as anchorperson for several news channels of Pakistan such as Hum News and PTV News.[4] Shahabuddin received Agahi Award for his article about child pornography in Pakistan, in 2019.[5] He writes columns for Pakistani daily newspapers, including Pakistan Observer, Daily Times and several other national publications.[6][7][8]

Shahabuddin also is a political activist on YouTube with over 819,000 subscribers. Because of his statements about Israel, he was accused of creating antisemitism content by The Jewish Chronicle.[9] He rejected the claims that his remarks are antisemitic.[10]

In June 2021, Shahabuddin revealed in a video that Hamid Mir’s verified Social Media accounts were being operated from India. After the video was uploaded on social media, his Facebook page was temporarily disabled and appeared again after the removal of the Indian administrator from the panel. Social media users applauded Shahabuddin for exposing Hamid Mir.[11][12]
