Makkal Aatchi (transl. People's rule) is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language political thriller film directed by R. K. Selvamani. The film stars Mammootty, Roja and Ranjitha, while Aishwarya, Anandaraj and Livingston play supporting roles. The film received positive reviews and became hit at box office.[1] The film was a major success in Tamil Nadu.[2]

Box office[]

The film was released along Rajinikanth-starrer Muthu released at the same time and both clashed at the box office.[4][5] It was a rip roaring success.[2]
