Manyavar is an Indian celebration wear brand, owned by the Kolkata-based company Vedant Fashions Limited.[1][2][3] The company was founded by Ravi Modi in 1999.[4][5]

History[]

Ravi Modi worked at his family's garment store in Shakespeare Sarani. In 1999, he started working on Manyavar concept with a capital of INR 10,000. He initially sold through other retailers like Pantaloons and later founded Vedant Fashions in 2002. The first outlet was started in Bhubaneshwar in 2008.[6] In 2010, they expanded their services outside India with the opening of first international store in Dubai and Bangladesh. In 2012, Manyavar inaugurated India’s largest EBO in Karol Bagh, New Delhi and launched their website.[7] Later in 2016, Manyavar got into women's ethnic garments with the launch of Mohey.[8][9] In February 2022, Vedant Fashions became a publicly-listed company after an initial public offering.[10]
