Marcus George (born (1986-02-28) 28 February 1986 (age 35)) is an English rugby league footballer for Halifax. George began his career on Halifax's scholarship programme but turned professional with Huddersfield Giants. After rejecting a contract from the Huddersfield Giants, George had a spell on a pay-as-you-play deal at the Bradford Bulls, the club he left to join Halifax in the 2006 season.[1] He has since established himself as a first team regular at The Shay. George plays in the Wing position. He scored 7-tries in 14-appearances in his first season with Halifax, and 12-tries from 13-appearances in his second season.

Marcus George is the son of the rugby league footballer Wilf George, and the older brother of the rugby league footballer Luke George.[2]
