Maria Grazia Roncarolo (born 17 December 1954) is an Italian pediatrician who is currently George D. Smith Professor in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and Professor of Medicine (Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy) at Stanford University.[1] Roncarolo and her colleagues were the first to identify Type 1 regulatory T cells.[2]
She was educated at the University of Turin.[1] She is a past President of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies,[3] and is a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.[4] She is an academic founder of Graphite Bio.[5] She has an h-index of 91.[6]
