Queer You Are[1] (Spanish: Maricón perdido; lit.'Hopeless Faggot')[2] is a Spanish television series created by Roberto Enríquez ("Bop Pop") and directed by Alejandro Marín, which stars Gabriel Sánchez, Carlos González, Candela Peña and Alba Flores, among others. Produced by El Terrat, it premiered on TNT on 18 June 2021.

Premise[]

Blending drama and comedy,[3] the fiction is inspired in the life of the series' creator Roberto Enríquez (Bob Pop), starting with Roberto Enríquez in the 1980s, as an overweight teenager fan of musicals, followed by his time as student in Madrid and then, by the current-day writer.[4][5]

Production and release[]

Created by  [es] (Bob Pop), Maricón perdido was produced by  [es] for WarnerMedia.[8] Berto Romero is credited as executive producer.[8] Written by Bob Pop, the full six episodes were directed by Alejandro Marín.[4] Filming lasted from October 2020 to February 2021.[8][9] It took place in between the province of Barcelona (Barcelona, El Prat de Llobregat, Castelldefels, Terrassa and Sant Vicenç de Montalt) and Madrid.[6] On 28 April 2021, the release date of 18 June 2021 for the first three episodes was disclosed,[10] with the last three scheduled for 25 June.[11] It was pre-screened at the Málaga Film Festival.[12]
