Marsiling Park, formerly Woodlands Town Garden, is a community park in Woodlands, Singapore, located at Woodlands Centre Road, adjacent to Bukit Timah Expressway.

Background[]

Opened in 1983, the 11 hectares (27 acres) Woodlands Town Garden was an exemplification of greenery and ambiance. The design of this park is unique in the sense that the amenities have both Chinese and Malay elements. The Sungei Mandai Kecil river flowing through the park was specially incorporated into the park's design. The large river that flows into the park was enlarged into a lake, that has been irregularly shaped for a natural look.[1]

In its last decade before its upgrading works in 2016, the park was infamously known for its vice activities.[2] Following the complaints from the residents whom lived nearby, the park was closed for upgrading in July 2016.

The park was renamed as Marsiling Park and reopened on 29 April 2018.[3]

Access[]

Access to the park is from bus service 856 from the Yishun Bus Interchange, or services 911, 912, 912A, 912B, 913 and 856 from Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange.
