Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Development (MAHE)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Taylor University's Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Development or MAHE, begun in 2007, is a 2-year, 40-hour program including 16 courses and 2 internship experiences[1] designed to equip Christian men and women to be change agents in higher education. The program's distinctives include a scholarly, theory-based approach to student development and practical training through assistantships for all full-time students.[2] All graduates complete a thesis, a process designed to engage them as practitioner-scholars[3] in their institutions of learning.

The program operates on a cohort model, meaning every class of 14–17 full-time students work for a long time together. All the MAHE faculty bring significant experience as leaders in higher education to their classrooms.[4]
