Matana, Gir Somnath

Matana is a village in Sutrapada Taluka, Gir Somnath district of Gujarat state, India. It is located 90 km south of Junagadh, 36 km from Sutrapada, and 393 km from the State capital Gandhinagar. The local language is Gujarati.

Nearby villages are Pedhavada, Rakhej, Moradiya, Solaj and Singsar.

There are many temples like Pithad Mataji, Padheswar Mataji, Bholenath Mahadev, Lord Rama's temple, Hanuman's Temple, and Amrutalayam.

The majority of the public is dependent on farming. Matana is also known for its milk production.
