Matt Platkin (born 1986/1987)[1] is the Attorney General-designate of the State of New Jersey. His appointment was announced on February 3, 2022, by Governor Phil Murphy. Platkin will take office as Acting Attorney General on February 14, 2022, pending the consideration of confirmation of his appointment by the New Jersey State Senate. Platkin will replace Andrew Bruck as Acting Attorney General.[2]

A resident of Montclair, New Jersey, Platkin was raised in Florham Park, New Jersey and Morristown, New Jersey. He attended Madison High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and received a JD from Stanford Law School.[3]
