Matteo Luigi Brunori, born Matteo Luigi Brunori Sandri[2] (born 1 November 1994) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie C Group C club Palermo, on loan from Serie A club Juventus.
Club career[]
Brunori made his Serie C debut for Foligno on 5 June 2011 in a game against Ternana.[3]
On 1 August 2019, he joined Pescara on loan from Parma with an obligation to buy.[4]
On 24 January 2020, Pescara bought out his rights early and immediately re-sold him to Juventus U23.[5]
On 24 August 2020, he became a new Entella player on loan with an option to buy.[6]
Palermo FC[]
On 9 August 2021, he joined Palermo on loan.[7] He made his debut with rosanero at the first useful opportunity, that is the match of the first elimination round of the Serie C Italian Cup played on 21 August 2021 and won 4-1 against AZ Picerno.[8] On 26 September scores first goal in rosanero unlocking the match that saw Palermo draw 1-1 away against Monterosi Tuscia.[9] On 6 February 2022 in a drawn 2-2 away against Città di Campobasso, he scored twice - the first in the rosanero - which allowed him broke the 10-goal barrier.[10][11]
It is also repeated the Brace in the following home match won 3-1 against Juve Stabia[12] and also scoring in the next match lost away for 4-1 against Foggia reaches Lorenzo Lucca as top scorer of Palermo in Serie C, with 13 goals.[13][14] At the same time he equals the primacy of personal goals scored in the 2018-2019 season with Arezzo.[14] In the next match against Turris, won 5-0, he surpasses both the previously reported records.[15] On 26 February, scoring a penalty in a loss against Virtus Francavilla, become the first rosanero player to score for six consecutive matches.[16][17]
