Matterson Inlet

Matterson Inlet (

80°50′S 160°30′E / 80.833°S 160.500°E / -80.833; 160.500Coordinates: 80°50′S 160°30′E / 80.833°S 160.500°E / -80.833; 160.500) is an ice-filled inlet between Penny Point and Cape Douglas, on the west side of the Ross Ice Shelf, Antarctica. It was named by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1960–61) for , leader of the party that surveyed the area.[1]
