Abidine Abidine was the only athlete to represent Mauritania in athletics.[1] He competed in the men's 5000 metres event and he finished in 27th place.[2]

Chess[]

Judo[]

Tennis[]

competed in tennis in the men's singles event.[9] He lost his match against (representing Ghana) and did not advance to the next match.

Wrestling[]

(Men's Greco-Roman 60 kg) and (Men's Freestyle 74 kg) were scheduled to compete in wrestling but neither competed in their event.
