Maxine Gordon is a British actress[1][2] who is perhaps most famous for her role as Jane Edmonds in the 1972 Sidney Lumet film The Offence.[3] She has also had notable roles in the sitcom ...And Mother Makes Five as Jane Redway, as Betsy Russell, the ITV series Crossroads as Becky Foster and the drama series as Anne Marie.[4][5] She also played the part of Verity in "Stigma", a 1977 episode of the BBC series A Ghost Story for Christmas.[6]
