Meezaan Jafri is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. Son of actor Jaaved Jaaferi and his wife Habiba Jaaferi and grandson of Jagdeep,[1] Jafri made his Bollywood debut in Malaal (2019), which earned him critical praise for his performance. He was last seen in Priyadarshan's Hungama 2, which released on Disney+ Hotstar.[2]
Early life[]
Jafri studied business at the Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania but then decided to study film direction and editing at the School of Visual Arts in New York.[3] He then assisted and Sanjay Leela Bhansali and worked as a body double for Ranveer Singh in Padmavat.[4][5][6] He was also an assistant director on Gangubai Kathiawadi.[citation needed]
Acting career[]
Jafri made his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Malaal (2019), for which he won the Best Debutant Performer recognition at the Times Men of the Year awards 2020.[7] He was recently seen playing the lead role in the comedy-drama Hungama 2 which released on Disney+ Hotstar.[8][9]
