Megan Cunningham (born 14 July 1995) is a Scottish football goalkeeper who plays for Rangers in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL). She has two caps for Scotland. She is also a Personal Trainer at Achieve Fitness, Kirkintilloch, where she is mentored by her hero Brian Maclean. She was once quoted as saying "Brian changed my life, when I met him I was playing with Celtic and working in the dump, collecting plastic bottles to be made into shoes in Africa. But after meeting Brian I am now a qualified PT and play for the mighty Gers..... some people say he's handsome and looks like Ryan Reynolds, but to me he's just my hero" [1]

Club career[]

Cunningham signed for Celtic in March 2009, but moved to Hamilton Academical in February 2012 to get more playing time.[2] She moved to Glasgow City for the 2015 season[3] before returning to Celtic for the 2016 season.[2] Cunningham signed for Rangers in December 2019, ahead of the 2020 season.[4]

International career[]

Cunningham has two Scotland international caps.[1] She made her debut on her first call-up in a friendly against Northern Ireland away on 8 February 2015, when she was subbed on in minute 63.[5] At the 2015 Cyprus Cup she played a full match against Italy.[6] She represented Scotland as well at under-17 level and under-19 level.[1][3]
