Megan Henderson (born February 19, 1975) is an American broadcast journalist. She joined KTLA, the CW affiliate in Los Angeles, in March 2009 and anchors the station's weekday morning news.[1] Before KTLA, she anchored the morning news at Fox station KDFW in Dallas[2] and Fox station KSTU in Salt Lake City. She also guest-hosted several episodes of the Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends Weekend in 2008.[3]

Early life[]

Henderson was born in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles and grew up in Southern California. She spent part of her childhood in Long Beach, California before moving to San Clemente, California.[4] She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. Her grandmother is of Mexican-Spanish descent.[5]

Career[]

Henderson started her broadcast career in Wichita Falls, Texas working at the CBS and NBC affiliates, KAUZ-TV and KFDX-TV. She anchored Good Day Utah at Fox owned-and-operated station KSTU in Salt Lake City before becoming the weekday anchor of Good Day at KSTU's sister owned-and-operated station KDFW in DallasFort Worth in 2003.[2] In 2008 she was guest-host on several episodes of Fox & Friends.[3] In March 2009 she joined CW affiliate KTLA in Los Angeles as its morning news anchor.[1]

She had a cameo in the movie Iron Man 3 as herself.[citation needed]
