Mekides Abebe (born 29 July 2001) is an Ethiopian athlete.[1] She competed in the women's 3000 metres steeplechase event at the 2019 World Athletics Championships.[2]

She won the gold medal in the women's 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2019 African Games and the silver medal in the women's 2000 metre steeplechase at the 2018 Youth Olympics.

She competed in the women's 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2020 Summer Olympics.[3]
