Melaneremus[1] is a genus of Orthopterans, sometimes known as 'leaf-folding crickets' in the subfamily Gryllacridinae and tribe Gryllacridini. The recorded distribution (probably incomplete) is: the Indian subcontinent, China, Indochina, western Malesia and western Pacific islands.[2]
