Merhawi Kudus Ghebremedhin (Tigrinya: መርሃዊ ቕዱስን ገብረመድኅን; born January 23, 1994 in Asmara)[4] is an Eritrean cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Astana Qazaqstan Team.[5] He was named in the start list for the 2015 Tour de France,[6] becoming one of the first two black Africans to start the Tour alongside teammate and countryman Daniel Teklehaimanot.[7] At the age of 21 Kudus was the youngest rider in the race.[8] He was named in the start list for the 2016 Giro d'Italia.[9]
He competed in the men's road race at the 2020 Summer Olympics.[4]
