"Merri Merri" (Albanian pronunciation: [mɛri mɛri]; transl. Take It Take It) is a song recorded by Kosovo-Albanian rappers Ledri Vula and Buta. Lasting two minutes and twenty seconds, the song was solely written by the aforementioned rappers themselves and produced by Albanian producer .

The official music video for the song was shot in the state of California and was uploaded on the 13 May 2018 onto YouTube in order to accompany the single's release. It portrays the rappers having a party and driving a Ford Mustang across the sunny streets of Beverly Hills, Malibu and Santa Monica.

Composition[]

An Albanian-language rap song, "Merri Merri" was entirely written by Ledri Vula and Buta.[1] The production was solely helmed by Albanian producer , who has previously worked with both rappers on various singles. The song marks the second time that both rappers have collaborated musically on a recording, after both worked on "Mbi Re" in 2017.[2][3][4] In terms of music notation, it is performed in the key of D major with an allegro tempo of 154 beats per minute.[5]

Promotion[]

"Merri Merri" was released on digital platforms and to streaming services as a single on 14 May 2018 through AVD Digital and Nesër.[6] The accompanying music video was premiered onto the official YouTube channel of Ledri Vula one day before the digital release on 13 May 2018.[7][8] It was directed by American director James Aggie Barrett of the Perfect Picture company and filmed, among others, in Beverly Hills, Malibu and Santa Monica in California.[1][9][10]
