Michael Sean Roark (born May 9, 1983) is an American actor and lawyer. He is best known for his roles as Kyle Johnson in the drama series Beauty and the Beast and Travis Crawford in the daytime soap opera series The Young and the Restless.[1]
Early life[]
Roark was born in Schaumburg, Illinois, on May 9, 1983, the third of four children. He is of Irish, Sicilian and German descent.
He graduated from the University of Florida, where received a degree for law. He also graduated from the Illinois State University with a degree for acting.
Career[]
In 2015, Roark played the role of Shay in the television drama series Finding Carter, for three episodes.[2]
In 2016, Roark went to play the recurring role of Travis Crawford in the CBS daytime soap opera television series The Young & the Restless, who was the ex-boyfriend of Victoria. After 66 episodes, he left the show as his character breaks up with Victoria.[3]
In 2019, he played the role of war veteran Marshall Bennett in the sports drama film Bennett's War.[4] According to his interview for Pop Culture, he said: "You get, like, a visceral feeling when you read a script. It's not always there, but sometimes. When I read this one, I just, just the need for him. I thought the idea with Marshall, he's a guy trying to get back home, not so much physically, but spiritually"[5]
In 2021, he plays the role of Colton Donovan in the television series adaptation of K. Blomberg's book series Driven.[6]
