Michele Besaggio (born 28 April 2002) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie C Group A club Juventus Next Gen.
Career[]
Early career[]
As a child, he moved to Merlara.[1] He joined the Vicenza's youth sector when he was 14 years old.[1] In the Biancorossi's academy, he changed his role from trequartista to mezz'ala.[1] In August 2018, Vicenza released him,[2] and Genoa's youth sector promptly signed him.[2]
In the 2018–19 season, he impressed Genoa U17's coach, Luca Chiappino, with five goals in 24 appearances, also making his U19 debut against Roma.[2] He played 77 minutes in the Torneo di Viareggio as a starter against Atlántida Sport Club.[2] His 2019–20 season season was spent shuttling between the U18s and the U19s: 14 appearances (two in the Cup) and one goal with the red-blue's top youth team; nine, one goal and one assist with the under-18.[2]
In the 2021–22 season, he played for the under-19 team as an overage player, with 12 goals and seven assists in 33 matches.[2]
Juventus Next Gen[]
On 25 August 2022, Juventus took him on loan with option to buy, being assigned to the Next Gen (under-23) team.[3] On 3 September of the same year, he made his Next Gen debut coming on as a substitute for Samuel Iling-Junior.[4] He scored his first goal among the professionists on 2 October, a penalty against Pergolettese.[5]
