Mie Kumagai is a video game producer. She has worked for Sega since 1993. When the previous boss of the AM3 development studio, Hisao Oguchi, was promoted to president of the whole company, Kumagai became the new studio head and the first ever female president within Sega's development structure.

Career[]

Prior to entering the video game industry, Kumagai worked for an art consulting firm and a clothing company.[1] She didn't start playing video games until adulthood; it was the communication between members of a development team which attracted her to the industry.[1]
