Miroslav Đuričić (Serbian Cyrillic: Мирослав Ђуричић; born 13 March 1977), better known as Miki, is a Serbian television personality. He rose to prominence as a contestant on the first Serbian series of Big Brother in 2006 and subsequently won the third celebrity season of the show in 2009. Đuričić also appeared on other reality TV shows such as Farma, Parovi and Zadruga.

Biography[]

Miroslav Đuričić was born on March 13, 1977 into a large blue collar family from the village of Kupinovo, the province of Vojvodina, Serbia (then part of Yugoslavia). He dropped out of high school and entered workforce through a series of temporary menial jobs.

In September 2006, Đuričić entered the Big Brother house for the first season of Veliki brat competing for the €100,000 prize. On September 29, however, he voluntarily left the show due to personal reasons after spending 15 days in the house.[1] Initially seen as the underdog of the competition, Miki subsequently acquired substantial media attention and popularity from the show becoming a cultural phenomenon.[2] He became the first man to be featured in Serbian Playboy, served as a presenter of his own call-in show on radio B92 for seven months, appeared as a guest on the eminent political talk show Utisak nedelje and also starred in TV commercials among other ventures.[3][4]

During autumn 2007 Veliki brat producers invited him for the show's second season. He accepted the offer, admitting to gambling away most of the money he earned from commercials and sponsors. He entered the house for the second time on 27 October 2007 but voluntarily left early again on 6 December 2007, unhappy that the producers in the meantime invited his father Mirko into the house. By this time, Đuričić's popularity among the masses had mostly waned.

On March 9, 2009, Đuričić among fourteen other celebrities became a contestant on Veliki Brat VIP. After close to a month on the show, on April 6, he left the house winning the €50,000 prize.[5]

Following his victory, he continued appearing on other reality shows, but would always voluntarily leave the program or would be removed after physical altercations with other contestants. In 2019, Đuričić was sentenced to a year of house arrest for physically assaulting two female contestants during his time in Zadruga.[6]

In August the following year, he became a father to a girl.[7]
