Miloš Šakota (Serbian Cyrillic: Милош Шакота, Greek: Μίλος Σάκοτα, born June 11, 1984) is a Greek[1] professional basketball player and coach, of Serbian descent. He is 6'8 34" (2.05 m) tall, and during his playing career, he played at both the small forward and power forward positions.

Playing career[]

Šakota played with: Ionikos NF, Near East, Aigaleo, Apollon Limassol, CSKA Sofia, Olympias Patras, Arkadikos, AE Livadia, and Lokros Atalantis during his playing career. He played in the European-wide 2nd-tier level EuroCup, during the 2003–04 season, with the Greek club Ionikos NF.

Coaching career[]

Šakota began his coaching career in 2015 when the Greek League club AEK hired him as an assistant.[2]

Personal life[]

Šakota is the son of a former professional basketball player and coach, Dragan Šakota, and the brother of a professional basketball player, Dušan Šakota.
