Jeremy Sancebuche (born November 11, 1996), also known as Mimiyuuuh or Mimi, is a Filipino vlogger, model, comedian, and YouTuber.[1][2] He gained popularity after posting a video of himself participating in a viral video challenge of the song "Dalagang Pilipina" by ALLMO$T.[3][4] His video went viral and motivated the creation of own versions of many local celebrities.
Early life[]
Sancebuche was raised in Baclaran, Parañaque, just south of Manila, Philippines, where his parents sold clothes. He attended De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde in Manila, where he took Fashion Design and Merchandising for his bachelor's degree and worked as a student assistant.[5]
Career[]
Before his rise to fame, Sancebuche made Mukbang videos on YouTube. In 2019, he participated in an online challenge called Dalagang Pilipina, for which he went viral, and his YouTube channel surpassed a million subscribers in just six months.[6] Outside of YouTube, Sancebuche has appeared in several TV shows in the Philippines.[7][8] He was a host at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019, interviewing artists on the red carpet.[9][10] He won his very first Award as a vlogger at the E! Pop Gala in 2019.[2] Mimiyuuuh is the second Filipino celebrity whose voice appears on the Waze app. He also appeared in a Pepsi Philippines TV commercial.
Mimiyuuuh owns the clothing brand Fangs, a contemporary street style brand that aims to empower women through unconventional and ragged clothing, for which he creates his own designs.[11] He has collaborated with celebrity vloggers like Alex Gonzaga, Rufa Mae Quinto, Moira Dela Torre, Erich Gonzales, The Gold Squad (Seth Fedelin, Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri), Heart Evangelista, Sarah Geronimo, Pia Wurtzbach and Bea Alonzo. Mimiyuuuh had also created traditional and graphic art. In November 2019, he worked as a commercial model for the Italian luxury brand, Off-White after featuring the brand in one of his vlogs with Alex Gonzaga along with his photoshoot with local fashion magazine, Preview.[1][12]
On March 27, 2020, Mimiyuuuh hosted an online zumba session to help raise funds for charity. He said that the funds would be donated to Caritas Manila and Save San Roque.[13][14]
On September 25, 2020, independent record label O / C Records revealed that internet superstar Mimiyuuuh will be joining its roster of talents. The Kean Cipriano-founded record label invited Mimiyuuuh to the business on social media.
On October 1, 2020, Mimiyuuuh released his debut single "DYWB (Drink Your Water Bitch)" with Independent record label O/C records.[15]
On August 21, 2020, Mimiyuuuh posted a video of himself dancing Gagong Rapper's song "Kabet" and it went viral not only in local but also in overseas, participating and accepting Mimiyuuuh's "it really hurts challenge".[16][17][18] It is posted on video sharing platform TikTok.
Personal life[]
Because of his popularity, Mimiyuuuh purchased a house for his family.[19] On October 27, 2020, He posted a tour vlog of her new house on YouTube titled "EMPTY HOUSE TOUR NI MIMIYUUUH! (DREAM COME TRUE!)".[20]
