Miratorg Agribusiness Holding is a Russian privately-held agribusiness company based in Moscow, Russia that was established in 1995.[2][3] It is one of the largest producers and distributors of meat products in Russia.[4]

History[]

Founded in 1995 by twin brothers Viktor and Alexander Linnik. Initially, the company was engaged in the import of beef and pork from Latin America.[5] A significant event for the company was the conclusion in 1999 of an exclusive contract for the supply of products with the Brazilian corporation Sadia, and a year later — with Minerva Foodsrupt, the largest beef producer in South America at that time.[6]

Miratorg is a subsidiary company of Ltd., which is based in Cyprus and "has a 99.9% ownership interest in" Miratorg.[4] December 1, 2007 Miratorg and Sadia opened a joint venture for the production of semi-finished products (Concordia plant) in Kaliningrad.[7] In June 2009 Miratorg received full control over the enterprise.[8]

Primary products[]

Miratorg and its subsidiaries are active in the processing, production and distribution of poultry, pork and beef, frozen vegetables, convenience foods, ready-to-eat meals and other foods. It is also active in crop farming.[3]
