Miss Universe 2022 will be the 71st Miss Universe pageant. Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Background

Selection of participants

Contestants from three countries and territories have been selected to compete in the competition; with all three being the winners of their countries' national pageants.

The 2022 edition will see the return of Belize, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, and Saint Lucia. Mongolia and Saint Lucia last competed in 2019, meanwhile the others last competed in 2020. [1][2][3]
