Mitake-kyo

Mitake-kyo (Ontake-kyo) is a Japanese Shintoist grouping. Its sacred mountain is Mount Ontake.[1] It was founded by .[2] It had 3 million members in 1930.[2] The numbers have fallen below one million.[2] Its headquarters has been moved from Tokyo to in the city of Nara. [2] Mitake-kyo has special rites.[2] It is strongly influenced by the values of the Meiji era.[2]
